A creative person needs to make art like a fish needs water, or a tree needs to dig its roots deep into the ground. As a creative person, you owe it to yourself to make art. Making art is not a service you render to the public or the economy. Your art makes you money, congratulations, you must be one of the lucky few. Your art is for yourself, when you share it you are communicating and if it resonates with others it means it’s being breathed life into, that’s the origin of the word to be inspired.

Often times there are so many options to choose from that it doesn’t feel like freedom, instead, the burden is on the one who chooses, who would have to take the responsibility of making the choice that would be better or worse. Then there is always buyer’s remorse. Even after making that choice one would keep thinking, second-guessing “what if I made the wrong choice?” At times like that, one would fail to even experience the choice currently made.

Creative people explore things laterally, and this gives them a scope of thinking outside the box. However, where creative people lack the most is in implementation and discipline. One way creative people can rectify this is by taking on more responsibility and accountability to push their discipline muscle to the limit. Doing this will help them be consistent with their workload. To a creative person making art is what’s most important and they will do anything they can to achieve this.
