Obsession blog post part 2

Take a hologram; it will last longer.

You know what, I should probably not be writing this stuff here.
But the thing is, I need eyeballs on this. If not, at least the potential of eyeballs. If this remains in my hard drive somewhere, I will write as it will stay on my computer, and no one will see it, which would not help me improve my writing.

It’s sort of like I am practising archery.

If I go out and start randomly shooting arrows into the sky, I would be bored. But If I am out there in the field, aiming at targets and failing miserably at them, at least I know how much I would need to practice to get better at my writing.

Ok, ok, this is more of a reaction from me that I do not get enough views on my essays.
There is no justification necessary. I need to practice writing better stuff and improve the quality of my writing.
Who knows how the best writers got better. I am proud of the efforts I have put in so far and shall continue to do so as I move on.
To me, it is much more fun to write essays like this than go the slow way with my research and putting up footnotes.

I would rather have it organic and conversational, and maybe, in the long run, I would learn to edit it better.
Maybe I should hire an editor later.

So this is the continuation of my previous post.
Forgive my rambling.
In the prior post, I created eight things to obsess about in my life. I would get to do more of a personal project or sub-projects and explore whatever possibilities that open up.

There I was talking about the things that I was crazy about was making digital paintings on Krita, getting on a YouTube Livestream every day and writing essays on medium.com.
In addition to all that, I have added pursuing a spiritual practice in meditation, yoga and Tai chi, and it’s been a lot of fun brainstorming with you all.

So the next step goes like this.
I have been following physics lectures, and I have bought myself the first volume of Feynman’s lectures on Physics, and I am going to enjoy them a lot. I am going to go all-in on first principles of Physics. I intend to intuitively get theoretical physics models to make animations and stuff out of it but for that, I would need to have a solid framework of how physics works.

I believe with the coming exponential growth of technology, we are going to see so much new stuff and discoveries of physics coming in. And What I am inquisitive about is the kind of physics we will be doing in the next few years.
It’s going to be an exciting time.

I intend to go over all the things that came before and explore the philosophical theories behind them too. When I say Physics, what I mean is the Natural Philosophy of it. The Metaphysics of the thing.
In some ways, yeah, I will be a philosopher just for the fun of it. It is something that has piqued my interest.

This would involve a whole lot of reading. Especially the Harvard five foot book shelf that I need to complete reading.

It’s interesting that I am talking about that as I also add another thing along with it. Making funny stuff.

I have heard the cliche of comedians being moral philosophers or moral detectives or whatever. It’s pretty cool but I don’t think it really flies. Why not I go and test it.
so the next few things I am gonna focus on is writing funny things and testing it out in the world in the first three mediums that I have chosen, graphic, video and text. There I will have the oppurtunity to see what becomes available when I combine philosophy and comedy and make something new outta all this. This has beta testing all over it. Basically throwing stuff on the wall see whatever that will stick in this thing.

Or who the hell knows, some archealogist in the future will stumble on all the things I have written and seen and will probably be impressed or whatever. I don’t know.

I am reading “The stand up comedy bible” by Judy Carter to fulfil on writing better jokes. I am also using “The serious guide to joke writing” to come up with funny stuff.
Together following through on this stuff will help me go further and further on where I’d need to go.

An idea came to me as I was watching Mr.Beast’s videos on YouTube, his kind of content where he does interesting kind of stunts is totally fascinating the kind of monetary incentives he brings to the table is more like Nathan Fielder’s work from Nathan for you.
You know if we could add that with talk show style comedy of Eric Andre and the disguises of Sacha Baron Cohen along with some of the stunts in Jackass I think we can reach a level of a new kind of comedy, perhaps even sketch shows with it.

Meanwhile, as I keep going, I might as well mention the book “Story Genius” by Lisa Cron to help me with writing compelling stories as well as using “Don’t be such a scientist” to help me go forward with my venture.

Now that we have covered all of that, a good idea would also be focusing on making poetry everyday.
That’s the thing I am going to do, obsess about these 8 sub-projects and create something new for the people!

I intend to write my own poetry for a possibility to get into the music industry. I wanna see if I can write intresting lyrics and get on the stage and deliver them. Would be something interesting to do. To spend so much time on making stuff like this.

So for now I shall work on writing four stanzas per day and make sure that they rhyme and keep posting them everyday along with the Instagram posts that I make.

That leaves the final thing I am going to be obsessed about that remains to be talked about.

This is nothing personal, just business.

Yeah I am talking about Business.
I need to learn how to start, manage and run a business.
Does manage and run mean the same thing? Well manage comes from the word “manus” in latin which means hand, and run is more of leg work. Eh, whatever.

The books that I shall be consulting to go forward with this is “Personal MBA” by Josh Kaufman, “The Lean Startup” by Eric Reis, “Exponential Organisations” by Salim Ismail.
I am also looking forward to be doing Blair Singer’s “Train the Trainer” course which I am super excited for.

So this is it these are all the things That I am currently obssessed about.
More things coming on the way.
Stay tuned.
